Hip-Hop Rumors: Lauryn Hill Had Her Baby? Timbaland The Slave?

OUCH! I don't know if 50 is like me and remembers Paris using the N-Word, but I heard that he dissed the crap out of the heiress. Read the AHH Report right here!

Here is what Page Six said about the whole ordeal. They were there.

During his performance at the Paris Hilton-hosted pre-Super Bowl party for 944 magazine last night, 50 Cent gave a shout out to Paris, who then started singing in the front row.

Paris and 50 are good friends.

When the princess decided to get onstage and dance, the hip-hopper's crew and stagehands quickly instructed her to "Get the f**k off the stage." She started to cry and tried to plead with the party's production staff to let her dance, whining, "But it's my party!"

Nobody cares if it's your party.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Fun Flicks From The Grammys!

There is a positive rumor that The Game and Big Fase 100 have ended their feud. Hope so.

Shout out to Genarlow Wilson! I'm glad to see that he's finally out. He was 17 and had sex with a consenting 15 year old. It took them two years in jail for them to decide he should be freed.

Check out this interview with Jim Jones on his clothing line, Nostic.

Oh yeah, the AHH Staff did their weekly music picks again...they dissed me (again) and left me out. My song is coming up later today.

NEVER FEAR – MORE RUMORS LATER!

Don't sleep! I shall return with more mindless drivel for you later in the day. Thanks a lot for reading and you can thank me for writing on a Sunday evening. ☺

March against Dera Sacha Sauda chief

The department of local governments has withdrawn concessions to labour societies across the state. As per the new directive, labour societies would now be treated on a par with other contractors working for the department.

Earlier, labour societies used to get preference in the allotment of contract. They also did not have to deposit earnest money while bidding for contract.

Sources in the department said that the decision had been taken, as many fake labour societies were operating in the state. As per rule, a labour society is a group of labourers coming together to form a body to compete against private contractors.

However, many persons, including local politicians, have formed fake societies to derive benefits meant for labourers. The members of such societies are fake and have almost never worked as labourers.

Assessing the playoff race in rough-and-tumble West

Fifty wins just aren't what they used to be, are they? Eight teams in the Western Conference are on track to put 50 Ws in the bank. A ninth team, Denver, also isn't far off the pace to reach a mark that usually guarantees a playoff berth.

Overall, 10 teams (including fading Portland) are fighting for only eight postseason invitations. There's a good chance that at least one West team will become the best non-playoff club in league history, a distinction held by the 45-win Rockets of 2000-01.

With a little more than a quarter of the season left, let's handicap one of the NBA's best playoff races in recent memory (the difference between the conference leader and the No. 9 team was only 6 games entering Wednesday's play). Below we assess each contender's chances of reaching the postseason, based on the games left as of Wednesday morning.

Perquimans, D.F. Walker, to share $1M tech grant

Local educators hope a $1 million state technology grant will make an impact on the way students learn.

Perquimans County Schools, along with D.F. Walker Elementary School in the Edenton-Chowan Schools, was one of four recipients of a $1 million-plus IMPACT grant.

The grant will ensure that each classroom has a SMART Board (interactive whiteboard), a video projector, a laptop computer, speakers, a digital camera and a scanner.

Funded through the state Department of Public Instruction, the grant goes toward implementing the IMPACT model at each school. A collaborative model, IMPACT pairs teachers with technology facilitators and media coordinators to teach across the curriculum. Perquimans Central School was selected as one of the state's initial IMPACT model schools in 2003.
