C.J.: We take you from dancing with Paris to caucusing with Scarlett

Bet it was difficult for David Koch to line up Paris Bennett for the opening of r.Norman's Steakhouse.

"No," CEO Koch said in total seriousness Thursday at a gala attended by about 3,000 at the new Block E meat market, which includes a nightclub and sushi bar. Maybe if I start calling him "Uncle David," which is how Paris refers to him, Koch could tell when I'm kidding.

Jamecia Bennett and her "American Idol" alum daughter were seriously rockin' to Erykah Badu's "On & On." Although raised in the church, Jamecia was shaking part of her body in a way that wasn't very holy. Reminded of this, Jamecia defiantly shook it again with a smile.

The highlight of the evening for B96 GM Steve Woodbury, who was in the company of his daughter Jenny, was when I told him that his friends Jamecia and Paris were upstairs.

Flashback: Granddad Al stays in shadows for Colin Kaline

They were shared moments, a lifetime of memories for a father and son: Four years of varsity games. Eight seasons of travel baseball. Tournaments in the middle of Indiana. Motels: four to a room. Little League. T-ball at the YMCA. Juice boxes. Over the garage counts as a homer.

The World Champion New York Football Giants and GGL Global Gaming ...

NEW YORK, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- In a move to extend their partnership and build on the success of GGL Global Gaming's presence at the 2007 Giants Game Day Live program that has heightened the "pre-game" experience for Giants fans before home games, GGL and the world champion New York Giants today announced a formal partnership to host a new online videogame competition and community portal for Giants fans, NFL fans, and videogaming enthusiasts of all levels, everywhere.

The new Giants Game Day Live portal gives fans and gamers a forum to compete in multiple fun and interactive year round videogame tournaments. Anchored by the EA Madden NFL '08 videogame, the official competition will begin coinciding with the onset of training camp (although Pre-Season matches can be played now) and will exist across multiple platforms, including the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Credit Crunch Worries Economists

Both consumer prices and wholesale prices jumped sharply in January.

In his testimony last week, Bernanke said Fed officials were watching inflation developments closely but still believed that the slowing economy would dampen inflation in the months ahead.

On other topics, the NABE survey found only 35 percent of respondents ranked the government's budget policies as "about right," compared with 45 percent in August. That probably reflects projections that the budget deficit could hit all-time highs this year and next.

Economists retained their support for free trade: 79 percent said they viewed greater flows of goods and capital as having a net positive impact over the next decade. But 62 percent felt that sovereign wealth funds, government-controlled investment vehicles, should be more open about their operations.

Eva Longoria gets back in to shape for Desperate Housewives

"We're back and it's like we never left," Longoria-Parker told People.com in Los Angeles while accepting a donation for the children's cancer charity, Padres Contra El Cancer.

"We were such a well-oiled machine before we broke so stop was jolting."

Having dismissed pregnancy rumors in January by pointing to her strike-induced indulging, the Desperate Housewives star is back to her work health regiment.

"I'm working out, I'm eating my healthy food I get prepared," she said with a sigh. "It is so much easier being in shape when you're on the show because you have a chef and the gym is right there, so you really have no excuse."

Fresh off a plane from San Antonio, and heading to catch a place to New York, quality time with husband Tony Parker may be limited, but the actress is still in honeymoon mode.

Judge reveals Blagojevich is 'Public Official A'

In an interview Monday, Kjellander said he made a "loan" to Aramanda "because I got a very favorable interest rate. That loan was repaid before the due date, and I made a very nice profit on the interest."

"I did nothing improper," he said. But Kjellander also emphasized he had "no knowledge of what" Aramanda did with the money.

St. Eve's ruling came in response to a bid by prosecutors—opposed by the defense—to raise a number of allegations at trial that weren't part of the Rezko indictment. The filings had been made under seal, so the judge's ruling was the first public disclosure of the allegations. St. Eve barred prosecutors from raising the Kjellander allegations but allowed other evidence to be aired.

According to the ruling, Rezko and Levine met at a dinner party on Nov.

Obama's Wrang-Wrang

Didn't Mike Kinsley get in big trouble at the L.A. Times for trying this? ... Seems kind of innocuous now. ...[via Corner] 1:43 A.M.

Explainer Please! Rudy Giuliani "is happy to participate in a receiving-line style photo opportunity as compared to a snake line." [E.A.] What's the difference? What if the receiving line starts, you know, snaking a bit? ... P.S.: Maybe I'm a jaded Hollywood type, but Giuliani's demands don't seem that diva-ish. He only requires one (1) SUV. He apparently allows eye contact! He doesn't even ask for a fruit basket. ... 2:21 P.M.

Hillary--Batting .001: Mohammed at Iraq the Model--writing after the recent Baghdad car bombings-- reports that:

Although attacks happen here and there, the general feeling is still closer to hope and appreciation of the plan than pessimism.

Among the animal handlers featured on the show are John Nicholson Jr. and John Nicholson III of Hazel Dell. Here's a video clip of the father and son training their Labrador retrievers to do high and long jumps in the family pool. .
